Meet Our Founding Pastors

Drew and Rachel Anderson are the founding pastors of River Hills Church. Originally from the Midwest, they have served faithfully in ministry for over 18 years. Both Drew and Rachel have been part of church plants in the past and share a deep passion for building a church from the ground up, one that reflects God’s love and hope in the heart of its community.

Rachel spent several years living in Chattanooga during high school and college, where she developed a deep, God-given love for the city. In 2016, during a time of transition for their family, Drew and Rachel visited Chattanooga once again. During a time of prayer downtown by the river, a vision to plant a life-giving local church that would share the hope and life of Jesus with the people of this city began. Just a year later, in 2017, they moved to Chattanooga, and since then, they’ve been amazed to watch that dream become reality!

The Andersons are passionate about discipling people to follow Jesus, helping them build meaningful connections, and discovering their God-given purpose. One of their greatest joys is seeing lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. They have a big heart for families and the next generation, believing that God desires to bring hope and restoration to every home.

Drew and Rachel have three boys, Clyde, Peter, and Colin, which means there’s never a dull moment in their house! They continue to dream big and look forward with great expectation to all that God will do in and through the people of Chattanooga in the days and years to come.
